AC Milan midfielder Jeremy Menez could return to Ligue 1 with Bordeaux

Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud is considering a move for AC Milan attacking midfielder Jeremy Menez.

Having signed holding midfielder Jeremy Toulalan from Monaco, Bordeaux are now in the market for fresh attacking talent.

Triaud has confirmed that former Paris Saint-Germain player Menez is one of the men on the club's radar.

Illness and injury restricted the 29-year-old to just two league starts for Milan last season as they finished seventh in Serie A. He made 10 league appearances in total and scored twice.

"He's among the people that we're looking at," Triaud told RMC. "Nothing is impossible at Bordeaux. We have several irons in the fire - we can't bank on only one player.

"Has Menez visited our facilities? A guy like him doesn't care about our facilities. They're known for their quality in any case."

Bordeaux, who finished 11th in Ligue 1, appointed former Guingamp boss Jocelyn Gourvennec as their new manager in May.
