West Ham ready to end interest in AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca - sources

West Ham United are ready to give up on their pursuit of AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca and move on to other targets, sources close to the London club have told ESPN FC.

The Hammers have been in talks with Bacca for several weeks as they look to bring in a new striker, but the Colombia international has been stalling on whether he wanted to move to the Premier League.

Milan are willing to sell Bacca to West Ham, but the former Sevilla forward has his doubts over a move to East London as he is holding out for a switch to a club playing in the Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are all keeping tabs on Bacca's situation but now, after not hearing anything further from him, West Ham are ready to pull the plug on their interest in him.

West Ham boss Slaven Bilic is desperate to bring in a proven goal-scorer before the close of the transfer window, but he has been frustrated in his attempts to add to his attacking options.

West Ham have seen several bids for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette rejected this summer, while they missed out to Chelsea for Belgium international Michy Batshuayi.

The club are now expected to set their sights on other targets as they look to bring in striking reinforcements to boost their chances of building on last season's impressive Premier League campaign.
