Munir El-Haddadi unsure on Barcelona future amid striker transfer talk

Barcelona youngster Munir El-Haddadi has said he is unsure over his future as the Catalan club continue to struggle to add the new striker they are looking for.

Barca have already been very active in the transfer market this summer, adding defenders Samuel Umtiti and Lucas Digne, along with midfielders Andre Gomes and Denis Suarez.

They have not, however, added any new forwards, despite Blaugrana sporting director Robert Fernandez having said that more depth in attack was an immediate priority.

Local media reports have linked Barca with a host of potential targets, including Sevilla's Kevin Gameiro, Atletico Madrid's Luciano Vietto and Angel Correa, Palmeiras youngster Gabriel Jesus, Manchester City's new signing Nolito, as well as Turkey-based veterans Mario Gomez and Robert Van Persie.

However, the task has proven difficult given any new arrival at the Camp Nou will face competition from Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar for a regular starting spot.

The most recent speculation in Catalonia has Mundo Deportivo reporting AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca a target but the Colombia international is more likely to join Paris Saint-Germain, and Sport saying that Valencia's Santi Mina and Newcastle's Ayoze Perez are now being considered.

Speaking after training at St. George's Park in Staffordshire, England, on Tuesday evening, Munir said he was not against Barca signing a new forward, but aware that his own future could depend on what happened.

"The forward who comes in will bring many good things," he said. "If a No. 9 arrives we will talk with the coach about what will happen. I don't know what the club will decide. What I want is to get playing time, whether on the wing or at centre-forward. If I was at another team, and Barca wanted me, I would come headlong. I am not thinking about leaving, but if the club suggests it we will think about it."

Madrid-born Munir, 20, signed a new deal with Barca just last week, tying him to the club until 2019, with the contract including a release clause of €60 million.

He scored nine goals across all competitions for Barca last season, seeing off competition to be first back-up from fellow youngster Sandro Ramires, who has left to join Malaga this summer.
