Man City and Napoli tracking Swansea forward Andre Ayew - sources

Manchester City and Napoli are tracking Swansea City forward Andre Ayew, sources close to the player have told ESPN FC.

Ayew, 26, enjoyed a superb debut season at Swansea last term after arriving on a free transfer from Marseille, finishing as the club's top scorer with 12 goals in the Premier League.

The attacker's performances for Swansea have not gone unnoticed, with a number of clubs keeping tabs on his situation at the Liberty Stadium as the Ghana international has never hidden his desire to play for a club in the Champions League.

Sources have told ESPN FC that Pep Guardiola's Manchester City are one of the clubs monitoring the forward, who can play anywhere in a front three, with doubts surrounding the future of Wilfried Bony.

Napoli are also weighing up a move for Ayew as they prepare for the departure of last season's top scorer Gonzalo Higuain.

Higuain is on the verge of a move to the club's Serie A rivals Juventus and Napoli are drawing up a list of targets to help fill the void left by the Argentine's impeding exit.
