West Brom plan new bid for Leicester's Jeffrey Schlupp - sources

West Brom are planning a new bid for Leicester winger Jeffrey Schlupp after seeing their initial offer turned down, sources have confirmed to ESPN FC.

Last week, the Baggies had made a £9 million bid for Schlupp as Tony Pulis looks to bolster his squad.

Pulis has identified Schlupp as a top target as the versatile 23-year-old can play at left-back and on the left wing, making him a valuable addition to the squad.

However, Leicester rejected West Brom's opening offer as they do not want to lose Schlupp, who made 24 appearances in the Premier League last season as the Foxes stormed to the title.

Since N'Golo Kante joined Chelsea, Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri is reluctant to lose any more of his players as he prepares for the extra demands of the Champions League next season.

Despite Leicester's reluctance to sell Schlupp, sources say West Brom are planning to make an improved offer for the Ghana international as they look to lure the player to the Hawthorns.
