Mauro Icardi wants Inter Milan stay amid Juventus, Napoli interest - agent

Mauro Icardi's wife and agent Wanda Nara has once again confirmed interest in the Inter Milan forward from Napoli and Juventus, while stating her preference for him to stay where he is.

Nara said last week that two Serie A clubs are monitoring his situation, while also taking issue about the lack of recognition from Inter in terms of the salary they are paying him.

The three clubs are all now vying for his services next season, according to Nara.

"Yes, the clubs who want him are the ones that we all already know," Nara told fcinternews.it. "I don't know what the chances are [of him staying at Inter]. We want to resume the talks we started last year, which were interrupted.

"At the moment, we have no intention of renewing his contract, but we do want to improve it financially."

Icardi's current Inter deal expires in 2019 and Nara believes he should be earning more than he is currently being paid, and that is why she remains uncertain about his future, even if she insists the Nerazzurri are both her and his first choice.

"I would like him to stay here because we're both happy in Milan," she said. "But it's up to him to answer that question. He wants to stay here because he loves these colours."

In addition to interest from within Serie A, Icardi is also reported to be attracting attention from England with Arsenal touted as possible suitors and West Ham United emerging as another possible destination, should their bid to sign Carlos Bacca from AC Milan fail, according to Mediaset.
