Newcastle's Moussa Sissoko says Premier League move is his priority

Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko would like to move to another English club but told France Football he is open to other teams that can offer him "top level" football.

Sissoko, 26, is keen to leave Newcastle following their relegation from the Premier League.

The France international said last week that he would like to move as quickly as possible after putting in some strong performances during Euro 2016.

Newcastle boss Rafa Benitez does not want to sell Sissoko and the Magpies will not entertain the idea unless they are offered £35 million.

A report earlier this week said that Newcastle had yet to receive any fresh enquiries for the player, but France Football says Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, Hamburg, Juventus and Napoli are all interested.

Sissoko told the magazine that he would prefer to player Premier League football again this season.

"My priority is to stay in England even if I'm not against going to search for a new challenge elsewhere," Sissoko said. "I particularly want to play with big players and in top-level matches."

Sissoko's price tag undoubtedly increased after his displays at Euro 2016, most notably in the final when he was arguably France's best player in their 1-0 defeat to Portugal.

"I would give myself 10 out of 10," Sissoko said when asked how he would rate his contribution at the tournament.

"I don't feel that I'm superior to others but, from the moment where I've given everything, I'm not going to attribute myself another mark. I have nothing to reproach myself for in this competition."
