Real Madrid's Borja Mayoral nearing Wolfsburg move - Klaus Allofs

Wolfsburg are closing in on the signing of Real Madrid forward Borja Mayoral, the Bundesliga club's sporting executive Klaus Allofs has said.

Earlier this month, Mayoral, 19, was linked with Wolfsburg after making six La Liga appearances for Los Blancos last season.

However, at that time, Wolfsburg's sporting executive Klaus Allofs dismissed reports that a one-year deal with the teenager was already agreed.

He did, however, praise the forward's "extraordinary performances" for Real Castilla as well as in the UEFA Youth League, while confirming talks.

At the weekend, kicker reported that Mayoral passed his medical at Wolfsburg and is set to make the move to Germany soon.

"All lights are green," Allofs told kicker on Monday, and the football magazine added that Mayoral has already signed a contract at Wolfsburg, but the clubs still have to reach a final agreement on the transfer.

Wolfsburg have also been linked with Juventus and Italy forward Simone Zaza, but a deal has yet to be agreed.
