Juventus hopeful on Barcelona negotiation for Dani Alves - Marotta

Juventus' negotiations to bring Barcelona right-back Dani Alves to the Serie A club are going well, Juve general director Beppe Marotta told Sky Sports on Monday.

The 33-year-old Brazilian was linked by Cadena Ser last week to Juventus for a reported summer move away from the current La Liga champions.

Alves' agent, Dinorah Santana, last week denied any type of agreement has been reached, but Marotta said on Monday: "I can confirm that the negotiations for Dani Alves are coming along well and we are very satisfied with them."

Marotta told Sky Sports that he was "very optimistic" that a deal would be reached.

Marotta also spoke of Alves' Barca teammate Javier Mascherano, who has also been linked with a switch to Turin, to say that those negotiations are ongoing.

"We are dealing with the topic of Mascherano, but this negotiation [Alves] and that of Andre Gomes [Valencia], [who has also been linked to Juventus] are more complicated. For now, there is nothing new to report."
