Vitesse Arnhem want deal to keep Chelsea loanees at club longer

Vitesse Arnhem are working on an arrangement that would see Chelsea youngsters move to the Netherlands on longer-term loan deals, the Dutch club's technical director has confirmed.

Chelsea have loaned 19 players to Vitesse since the summer of 2010 and have five youngsters -- Lewis Baker, Dominic Solanke, Isaiah Brown, Nathan and Danilo Pantic -- currently continuing their development at the GelreDome this season.

All five are scheduled to return to Stamford Bridge this summer but Vitesse technical director Mo Allach says he is in talks with Chelsea over the possibility of keeping loanees for more than one season at a time, insisting that such a system would benefit all parties involved.

"We are now discussing this with Chelsea," Allach told Dutch website Soccernews when asked about the potential arrangement. "It's been with us for quite some time this topic of conversation.

"These are guys who are still at a young age and with us get experience. It would be better for the players and for Vitesse if we can keep the players. That is our goal."

Chelsea currently list 33 players on loan to a variety of clubs around the world, with Christian Atsu, Patrick Bamford, Mitchell Beeney, Papy Djilobodji, Alex Kiwomya, Charly Musonda, Marco van Ginkel and Wallace all leaving Stamford Bridge on temporary deals in January.
