Denis Cheryshev to join Valencia on loan from Real Madrid

Valencia have agreed a deal to sign Russia international Denis Cheryshev on loan from Real Madrid.

Cheryshev, 25, is set to join Gary Neville's side despite strong competition for his signature from Sevilla.

A statement on Valencia's official website read: "Valencia Club de Futbol and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the signing on loan of Russian international Denis Cheryshev, through to June 30, 2016.

"Cheryshev will undergo a medical on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 9:30 a.m., alongside the club's official medical partner Divina Pastora Seguros at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna.

"After his first training session with his new teammates, he will be officially presented at the Media Centre alongside sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch."

Madrid have also confirmed the agreement with Valencia.

The midfielder, who spent last season on loan at Villarreal, has made little impact since returning to the Bernabeu in the summer other than his involvement in the club's expulsion from the Copa del Rey.
