Juventus' Alvaro Morata won't be sold to Real Madrid - Giuseppe Marotta

Juventus will not be selling striker Alvaro Morata to Real Madrid, according to the Italian club's director general Giuseppe Marotta.

Morata, 23, has been linked with a return to Real, whom he left for Juve in 2014 although the terms of the agreement included a buyback clause.

Last month, the Spain international extended his commitment to the Old Lady, signing a new contract which runs until the summer of 2020.

"We have no interest in dealing with Real Madrid or any other club," Marotta said in Marca.

"We've never considered selling Morata. He's part of the backbone of this team; he's a youngster who's shown he's the real thing.

"We're used to keeping hold of players like him."

Last week, FIFA announced Los Blancos and their city rivals Atletico Madrid were banned from registering new players in the next two transfer windows.
