Borussia Dortmund captain Mats Hummels has said he is in no rush to enter talks over a contract extension.
Hummels, whose current deal expires in 2017, told reporters that he does not feel any pressure to make an early decision on his future.
Should he fail to agree an extension, Dortmund may seek to cash in on the player at the end of the season to avoid the risk of losing the Germany centre-back on a free transfer.
"There have not been any talks in any direction," Hummels said. "Everything's still very quiet. I am relaxed about this issue because I don't see that I am pushed for time."
Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel, meanwhile, all but ruled out any possibility that Neven Subotic will be allowed a winter transfer.
The defender, who has only played four matches in all competitions this season, has been linked with Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
Tuchel said: "From a coach's point of view, I can say that we need Subotic. He's an integral part of the team. If it comes down to me, but it's not always like that, there is no reason to consider a switch."
Dortmund also have no plans to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who joined up with the squad in Dubai on Saturday after being named Africa's Footballer of the Year in Nigeria on Thursday.
The forward has had a busy few days, having had a stopover in Paris as well as making a visit to his native Gabon, where he was welcomed by president Ali-Ben Bongo Ondimba, on a private plane, according to Bild.
"That trip was exhausting," Tuchel told reporters, adding that Aubameyang, who scored 18 goals in the first 17 matches of the season, will be integrated with a mix of individual and squad training sessions.
Speaking to the club's TV channel, the BVB attacker said: "It was crazy when I came back to Gabon. I never saw this in my life. I felt like Michael Jackson."
