Wolves' Niall Ennis targeted by Manchester United - sources

Manchester United are ready to make a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers teenager Niall Ennis, sources have told ESPN FC.

Ennis has come to the attention of a number of the Premier League's top sides after impressing for club and country in recent months.

The youngster made his debut for Wolves' under-21s last season as a 15-year-old and has been training with the first team since he turned 16.

Ennis scored his first goal for England under-17s earlier this month against Portugal and the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea have been tracking him, but United scouts have been keeping tabs on the player for some time.

United are determined to bring the best young talent to Old Trafford to try to develop them into first-team players of the future.

United are ready to test Wolves' resolve to keep hold of Ennis by making an offer in excess of £1 million for the teenager as they aim to boost their youth ranks.
