AC Milan set to sign Juraj Kucka from Genoa - reports

AC Milan are set to take their summer spending up to almost €90 million by signing Juraj Kucka from Genoa, according to reports.

Kucka is set to join the Rossoneri ahead of their clash with Empoli on Saturday evening for a fee of €3 million.

Added to the signings of Carlos Bacca, Luiz Adriano, Andrea Bertolacci, Alessio Romagnoli and Mario Balotelli, the Slovenian midfielder's arrival would take the Serie A club's spending to €88.5 million.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, an agreement was struck between Milan's general manager Adriano Galliani and Genoa president Enrico Preziosi on Thursday, with the Rossoneri overcoming competition from Bursaspor for the midfielder's signing.

Kucka has been with Genoa since 2011 and was close to joining Milan's city rivals Inter in the past. His contract was up for renewal next summer and the Ligurian club look to have decided to cash in now rather than risk losing the 28-year-old on a free transfer next summer.

He is expected to sign a three-year contract in Milan.
