Grzegorz Krychowiak confirms Sevilla stay despite reported Arsenal interest

Grzegorz Krychowiak has confirmed he will not be leaving Sevilla this summer despite reports linking him with a move to Arsenal.

Krychowiak, 25, has been linked with a switch to the Premier League in recent weeks, with the Gunners reportedly considering paying his €30 million release clause.

But the Poland international has dismissed speculation of an exit from Sevilla, committing his immediate future to the Spanish side via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon.

The midfielder posted a picture of himself at Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium with the message: "I'm staying at the Sanchez Pizjuan for next season. Come on Sevilla."

Krychowiak, who signed for Sevilla for €5m from Reims last summer, has emerged as one of Europe's most sought after holding midfielders.

He was named in La Liga's 2014-15 team of the season and played a key part in his club's Europa League success, though Sevilla have repeatedly said they will not sell the Poland midfielder for anything less than his €30m release clause.

Krychowiak's teammate Iborra said last week that everyone at the club wanted the 25-year-old to stay, but he was concerned that another club would meet the clause this summer.

Sevilla have, as usual, been busy in the summer's transfer market, with the club in no rush to sell as they have already taken in over €50m selling players including striker Carlos Bacca to AC Milan and right-sided utility man Aleix Vidal to Barcelona.
