Modibo Maiga leaves West Ham to join Al Nassr, Saudi club report

West Ham have sold forward Modibo Maiga to Al Nassr FC, the Saudi Arabian side said on Monday.

Al Nassr's official Twitter account said the striker has signed a two-year deal, but there was no immediate confirmation on their website or from West Ham.

A Hammers spokesperson told Press Association that no deal has been confirmed yet.

Maiga, 27, came on as a substitute in all three of West Ham's games this season, even scoring a late consolation goal for West Ham on Saturday during their 4-3 loss to Bournemouth.

The Mali international spent last season out on loans at Queens Park Rangers and FC Metz in France.

He scored seven games for West Ham since joining from Sochaux in 2012.

Maiga joined West Ham for £4.7 million from Sochaux three years ago but has since had loans at QPR and Metz.

If he does leave, he does so having scored in West Ham's 4-3 defeat to Bournemouth in the Premier League last weekend.
