Chelsea target Baba Rahman is to take to the field for Augsburg in their DFB Pokal tie at Elversberg on Friday, but the Ghana international still wants a move to Stamford Bridge. Rahman, 21, has been identified by the Premier League champions as a replacement at left-back for Filipe Luis, who returned to Atletico Madrid last week after just a season with Jose Mourinho's side. Rahman's agent, Sascha Empacher, earlier this week confirmed that his client has agreed terms with Chelsea and it is now down to the clubs to negotiate a transfer fee, with Augsburg wanting €25 million. Ahead of Augsburg's first competitive match of the season, the clubs have yet to reach an agreement. "Baba is in the squad, and he will also play," Augsburg coach Markus Weinzierl told his news conference prior to the cup match at minnows Elversberg. When asked about the ongoing negotiations, he refused to make any comments and said: "I won't say everything I know." Rahman, who joined Augsburg for €2.5m from Greuther Furth after the start of the last season and has since won many admirers, is getting frustrated with his situation. "The clubs are still negotiating. Baba wants to join Chelsea, that's clear. The situation is burdening him," Edwin Kurt Okraku, described as an Accra-based confidante of the player by Bild, told the German tabloid. "We need a quick solution." Augsburg have already signed a replacement for the left-back earlier this week, paying second-tier side Karlsruher SC close to €4m for Philipp Max.
