Borussia Dortmund confirm Sevilla interest for Ciro Immobile

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc confirmed on Tuesday there is interest from Sevilla in signing Italian striker Ciro Immobile, but said no progress has been made.

German paper Bild reported on Tuesday that a €12 million offer by Sevilla for Immobile was declined.

"We are talking. But there is nothing new to declare. The situation is not easy for Ciro but he deals with it professionally," Zorc said.

Immobile has been linked with several Italian clubs as well and said he is proud to be linked to his hometown club Napoli.

When asked what is going on with Sevilla, Immobile told kicker: "I don't know. Ask the manager."

Immobile is currently on an Asia tour with Borussia at the moment with the club visiting Japan, Singapore and Malaysia and set to play two friendlies against Kawasaki Frontale and Johor Southern Tigers.

However, Immobile was not on the club roster for Tuesday's friendly against Kawasaki Frontale and he skipped an autograph session earlier. The club explained that Immobile needed more sleep after training than the other players.
