Diego Costa wants Arda Turan to sign for Chelsea from Atletico Madrid

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has said he would relish a reunion with Atletico Madrid star Arda Turan.

Arda's agent said earlier this week that the Turkey international was set to leave Atletico by the weekend, and Chelsea, Manchester United and Barcelona have all been strongly linked with the 28-year-old.

In an interview with Turkish newspaper Bugun, translated by Turkish-football.com, Costa suggested he would like Arda to become the latest Atletico star to move to Stamford Bridge after playing alongside him at the Vincente Calderon from 2011 until 2014.

"I would really like to be reunited with him," Spain international Costa said. "It would be fantastic because he is a player that makes my job easier.

"Arda, Flilpe Luis and I achieved great success together and he really is a great guy."

AS reports that Arda is keen on a move to the Premier League with no update on a potential bid from Treble winners Barcelona.

Chelsea also have former Atletico left-back Filipe Luis and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois -- who spent three seasons on loan with Diego Simeone's side -- on their books, while former Rojiblancos striker Radamel Falcao has agreed to join on a season-long loan.

Costa also said it was unfair to compare Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho to Simeone, adding: "Mourinho dedicates himself completely to his work. He adores his job and immerses himself in it.

"At the moment the team is resting but I am sure he isn't -- he will be planning, doing things to improve the team. Mourinho makes things easier for the players.

"Simeone is still a relatively young coach and he always strives for the best; he always helps his players and he enjoys his job. Both of them have enjoyed success."
