Juventus open to transfers but will not sell Paul Pogba - Beppe Marotta

Juventus continue to be on alert for another signing this summer although they will not be selling Paul Pogba, according to their general manager Beppe Marotta.

Juventus have already been active on the transfer market this summer, wrapping up the signings of Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Sami Khedira even before the market officially opened.

Juan Cuadrado and Mohamed Salah have also been mentioned as possible targets and Marotta says Juve are ready to make their move, should the opportunity arise.

"We got in ahead of our rivals by making some big signings in advance," Marotta said at a book presentation in Milan, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"Our squad is now complete and it guarantees a competitive Juve to win on all fronts also next season.

"We're not lacking anything, but clearly we would seize any opportunity that were to present itself on the transfer market. There are still two months before it closes at the end of August."

That squad should not be reduced either. Aside from Andrea Pirlo's being set to join New York City FC, Marotta says there are no plans to sell any other player. That applies to Pogba, Arturo Vidal and Fernando Llorente.

"We are not negotiating to sell any of them," Marotta added. "We're not a selling club, unless a player comes to us and asks to leave.

"It's well known that there are lots of clubs interested in [Pogba]. Barcelona have shown their appreciation of him for a while now.

"We have a trustful, respectful relationship with them and we accepted their invitation to discuss Pogba and other football matters, but we replied to Barcelona that we do not want to deprive ourselves of him.

"It's not due to a lack of offers, it's just Juve want to strengthen our squad and keep hold of fundamental figures such as Pogba."
