Antonio Rudiger wanted by Wolfsburg, Chelsea - Stuttgart defender's agent

Wolfsburg and Chelsea are interested in signing Antonio Rudiger, the Stuttgart centre-back's agent has claimed.

Bild reports Rudiger and Wolfsburg have already agreed on terms, but the two clubs are still to negotiate the transfer fee -- Stuttgart are said to be seeking €18 million.

The player's agent, Sahr Senesie, told kicker sport magazine: "I know of interest from Wolfsburg and Chelsea."

However, Senesie said the Germany international is reluctant to leave his homeland, adding: "Antonio would prefer to stay in Germany."

Rudiger, 22, played 19 Bundesliga matches for Stuttgart last season although a knee injury limited his appearances.

Wolfsburg sporting director Klaus Allofs confirmed that he is talking to Stuttgart about Rudiger. He said: "We make a decision before each transfer, whether the demanded fee makes sense to us.

"When we signed Andre Schurrle and Max Kruse we came to the conclusion that the transfers were reasonable. There is a certain point until which we say we'll make the transfer, but beyond that we won't."

Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking said Rudiger "is a young player and capable of development."

Stuttgart's director of sport Robin Dutt made clear that "there will be no bargain buys at VfB. We are under no pressure to sell anybody."

Allofs added: "VfB has to decide if they want to say yes or no. You can't blame VfB for their demands, the player is under contract there until 2017."
