Bournemouth have wrapped up the signing of Ipswich defender Tyrone Mings for a reported fee of around £8 million.

On Thursday, news broke that the Premier League debutants had agreed a fee with Ipswich for the 22-year-old full-back.

The highly-rated Mings joined the East Anglians from non-league Chippenham Town for just £10,000 less than three years ago.

He was linked with Arsenal last season as his reputation grew, but stayed to help Ipswich reach the Championship playoff semifinals.

Part of the Bournemouth deal sees Scotland under-21 winger Ryan Fraser move to Portman Road on loan for next season.

Mings told Bournemouth's official website: "I'm looking forward to learning from the manager [Eddie Howe].

"His ideas will be different to what I'm used to, but that can only be a good thing. I'm here to develop and learn as much as possible."

He said Bournemouth -- who won the Championship title last season - had played in a style that was "different to anyone else's in the league."

And he added: "That probably goes back to how in-depth the manager is with everything he does and the group of players he has.

"They can pull off what he wants them to do -- they are well organised and play good football, as everyone saw last season."
