Atletico Madrid playmaker Arda Turan wants to play in the Premier League and talks with top English clubs are already underway, according to the Turkey international's agent.

Arda, 28, played a key role in Atletico's Europa League, Copa del Rey and La Liga wins through recent years, scored a superb winner against Real Madrid at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the league last season, and has been featured prominently in the club's new kit launch publicity this week.

However, the former Galatasaray player has often been linked with a move away from the Estadio Vicente Calderon, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool among the Premier League teams mentioned in speculation over recent times.

A close bond with coach Diego Simeone and the Calderon fans has always led Arda to commit to Atletico in the past, but his representative Ahmet Bulut has now told AS that the time is right for a move -- even if the €41 million release clause in his contract could prove a stumbling block.

"[Arda] intends to leave Spain this summer," Bulut said. "His wish is to leave to play in the Premier League, at this moment that is the path he would like to take to further his career. His exit from Atletico is not something easy, as he has a release clause of €41 million. There are conversations under way with three teams, at the moment I cannot say the names, but they are the best teams in England and European football."

Bulut said that Serie A side AC Milan and Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain were among teams who have shown an interest in his client, however Arda was clear in that he wanted to test himself in the Premier League.

"It's true, Milan and PSG are two of the six teams which have shown an interest in him," he said. "But the Italian team are not one of his options, as they are not playing in the Champions League. PSG are a possibility, but Arda always wanted to test himself in England."
