Sergio Ramos' brother and agent has rejected a claim that the Real Madrid star could be willing to join Barcelona. Barca presidential candidate Jordi Majo said he was offered the chance to sign Madrid defender Ramos, 29, as a "secret weapon" at the election. Majo said that Ramos had "offered himself to us a while ago" although he then clarified: "We did not have contact with Rene [Ramos] but with an intermediary who made us the proposal. For what we know, we feel it is an issue of possible mutual interest between them and a candidate. I do not know anything else." However, Rene Ramos has now said that there is no prospect of his brother moving to the Camp Nou. "Sergio Ramos will never play for Barca," he said in Marca. Ramos, who joined Madrid from Sevilla in 2005, has been linked with a number of clubs over the last year amid negotiations over a new contract.
