Alexandre Lacazette wants Lyon future resolved quickly amid Liverpool talk

Liverpool will have to wait a little longer before finding out whether Alexandre Lacazette will join them this summer with the Lyon striker still undecided on his future.

The Reds have been strongly linked with Lacazette, 24, who scored 27 goals for Lyon in Ligue 1 this season.

As he prepares for France's upcoming international friendlies, the Lyon youth academy product still does not have his mind on where he will be playing his football next season.

"I haven't made my decision. I'm going to go on holiday and leave my agent to talk, to look after all of that. I won't be unsettled by it. It's not going to worry me at all. As soon as I have decided, I want everything to be sorted out quickly," Lacazette said, adding when asked when that would be, "That's a good question."

Manchester City have also been linked with Lacazette as have Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain, whom Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas recently claimed were "not rich enough" to tempt him to part with his prize asset.

Aulas has consistently stated he will not sell Lacazette, who signed a contract extension through to 2018 in September, this summer, even tweeting last weekend that the striker "will stay," while later telling a Twitter follower there would be no transfer to Liverpool.

Speaking at France's base camp ahead of this month's games against Belgium and Albania, Lacazette was less categorical, and drew an outline of the team he might be persuaded to join even at the risk of struggling to settle in a season that ends with Euro 2016.

"The main criteria will be to enjoy myself. I could stay at Lyon and have a rotten season just as I could leave and have an exceptional season. Everything depends on the destination, in fact. If I go to a club where there are six centre-forwards, it's not the same if I am the number one," he said.

"You don't turn down Barca and Real. But today, it's not 50/50 if I stay or go, it's zero percent. I'm not thinking about that. I'm going to enjoy being with the France team, and I'll think about that later."
