Man City would love to sign Juventus star Paul Pogba says Eliaquim Mangala

Manchester City should do all they can to bring Paul Pogba to the club this summer, Eliaquim Mangala has told The Sun.

Since leaving Manchester United in 2012 to join Juventus, Pogba, 22, has developed into one of the game's hottest properties, and City -- along with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain -- have been linked with a move for the midfielder.

The Sun reported on Wednesday that City are ready to pay £85 million in transfer fee and wages to sign the France international this summer, despite Pogba having signed a much-improved contract extension in Turin through to 2019 only last October.

But Mangala, 24, believes his international teammate is well worth it, saying: "He's a great player who has everything. Manchester City or any team would love to have him in their ranks.

"I know him well, not just from the under-21s, but also the full French national squad. He's a great lad, very mature -- both on and off the field.

"For somebody so young, he has experienced a lot with the Serie A titles he has won and the Champions League final this year."

Barcelona's transfer advisor Ariedo Braida says it would "not be appropriate" to reveal whether his club is interested in Pogba ahead of the two sides' meeting in the Champions League final on June 6.

Blaugrana figures including president Josep Maria Bartomeu and Neymar have spoken of their admiration for the France international, while Pogba's agent Mino Raiola claimed in April he had received "over 2000 phone calls" regarding the player in 2015 alone.

Meanwhile, Real have said a report in La Stampa claiming they have made an offer for Pogba is false.
