Bayern Munich join Man City and PSG in Kevin De Bruyne race - agent

Kevin De Bruyne's agent has said Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have all made "informal contact" regarding the Wolfsburg midfielder.

De Bruyne, 23, has scored 10 goals and provided 20 assists this season to help Wolfsburg secure their place in the Bundesliga's top three, but it remains unclear whether the Belgium international will still be at the club when they make their return to the Champions League.

The former Chelsea midfielder has said he would be open to an exit if an offer arrived that suited both himself and the club, although German football magazine kicker has said Wolfsburg are seeking €80 million, with sporting director Klaus Allofs saying last week that there was no need to cash in.

Nonetheless, the player's agent, Patrick De Koster, has already said he has held meetings with Manchester City and PSG and has now said Bayern, who had not previously been in touch, have now also registered an interest.

"Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have made informal contact with me, but there have been no official offer," De Koster said on talkSPORT.

He said he will hold talks with Wolfsburg soon, adding: "I will know if they want to offer a Kevin a new deal or allow him to move. If Wolfsburg decide to sell Kevin then he will have a choice of clubs who can win their domestic league and challenge for the Champions League as well. The choice is his."

Speaking to Danish outlet PLBold, De Koster also said that, while Manchester United have also been linked, "Manchester City are the only Premier League club to have shown interest."

Elsewhere, incoming Germany international Max Kruse has told reporters he opted to leave Borussia Monchengladbach because Wolfsburg were better placed to fulfil his ambitions.

The 27-year-old attacker will join Die Wolfe at the end of the season after they triggered a €12 million release clause in his contract.

Gladbach are also close to qualifying for the Champions League group stage but Kruse, who had also been linked with Tottenham, said he felt Wolfsburg were a better option.

"I just believe that Wolfsburg are a step ahead of Gladbach," he said. "Of course, money plays a role at my age, but if it had only been about the money, I would have made the move to England. I wanted to stay in Germany, though."
