Memphis Depay: 'I haven't spoken to Manchester United' about transfer

PSV midfielder Memphis Depay has denied he personally held talks with Manchester United about a prospective move to Old Trafford last week.

Depay, 21, was reported to have flown to Manchester to discuss a summer transfer but while his agent is thought to have met United, the top scorer in the Eredivisie insisted he was not present.

"There's absolutely no truth in that," he told reporters in the Netherlands. "I haven't spoken to Manchester United."

PSV technical director Marcel Brands has said that United have contacted them about Depay while the new Dutch champions have admitted they expect the 21-year-old to leave in the summer.

Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool have also been linked with Depay, while PSV had admitted that several clubs have expressed an interest in the winger.

Depay, who was given his international debut by United manager Louis van Gaal, scored his 27th goal of the season in PSV's 3-2 win over Excelsior Rotterdam on Saturday.

And afterwards he admitted he wants to make a big-money move this summer.

"If that would become reality, it would be fantastic," he added. "It is a dream to make a transfer with such a big impact.

"But I already said, there is a lot of speculation and a lot of stories, but I don't know how things will work out, so let's wait and see. It would be great to go to one of the big competitions this summer, but for now I don't want to speak about that."
