Eden Hazard: I'm happy at Chelsea despite Real Madrid talk

Chelsea star Eden Hazard has cooled speculation over a move to Real Madrid, telling Sky Sports: "I am happy here."

Hazard is widely expected to win the PFA Player of the Year award on Sunday after an exceptional season with Premier League leaders Chelsea, but there have been suggestions that the Spanish giants could look to sign him in the summer.

Real Madrid Castilla coach Zinedine Zidane -- tipped as a future boss of the senior side -- recently spoke of his admiration for the Belgium international, who had said earlier in his career that he would relish a move to the Bernabeu.

Hazard, who idolised Zidane as a child, told Sky he was delighted to hear of the former France star's praise.

"He says that because he knows I loved him when I was young, and for me it's very good because when I heard that... Every time somebody says something it's special, but when it's Zidane, yeah, it's very good," Hazard said.

However, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has said Madrid would have to pay "£100 million for each leg" if they wanted to sign Hazard, and the 24-year-old -- who said in November that the Blues, and not Real, were his "dream" club -- stressed he is not seeking an exit.

Asked if he saw his long-term future at Chelsea, he replied: "Why not? I am happy here.

"I play with big players and the most important thing is I want to win trophies and, with this club, it is possible."

Zidane had suggested he viewed Hazard as one of the world's best three players, and the Belgian -- who hopes to win the Ballon d'Or at some stage in his career -- hopes he can match Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Messi, Ronaldo they are on another planet, but yeah why not?" he said. "I try to be one of the best, so if I can be, why not?

"If I train every day, if I take pleasure every day, why not? I can reach another level. [I'm] still young, but at 24 Messi had won two Ballon d'Or awards already. But I am still young and I can improve more."
