Juventus' general manager Beppe Marotta said his club will be unable to stand in Paul Pogba's way if a lucrative offer arrives and the player wants to leave.
Juventus director Pavel Nedved recently said Paris Saint-Germain have made an offer for the France international and Barcelona and Real Madrid are also interested.
Marotta said Pogba had not yet asked to leave Juventus, who are said to be valuing him at over €100 million, but suggested the midfielder may be attracted by the wages on offer outside Serie A.
"Pogba's got his destiny in his own hands," Marotta told Il Corriere della Sera. "If he decides he wants to leave, it will be difficult to keep hold of him.
"However, he's not expressed any desire to leave yet. The problem is when a player is offered a contract two or three times better than what he's currently getting. We're talking about a net wage of €10 million a season."
The Bianconeri's progress to the quarterfinals of the Champions League this season may help convince Pogba he can realise his declared dream of becoming the best player in the world without leaving Turin.
Juve are also on target for a fourth straight Serie A title and, rather than seeing their top players leave for England or Spain, Marotta says his club are starting to lure some of Europe's best.
"The appeal has changed," Marotta said. "Before we might have struggled to give players an incentive to come here. Take [Antonio] Di Natale, for example. He turned us down. Now there's a scramble to come here, and I'm talking about top players too.
"We want to go even higher and realise even more of our objectives, and we can do it. Next summer, we've got to raise the level of quality a further notch."
