Sevilla's Maxime Gonalons suffers broken leg, expected to miss six weeks

Maxime Gonalons is expected to miss at least six weeks of action after breaking his leg in a training session with Sevilla.

The France international, who was linked with a move to Crystal Palace in the summer, only joined on loan from Roma in August after Steven N'Zonzi moved the other way.

Sevilla confirmed that Gonalons was sent for a scan following a heavy collision, revealing a fracture in his right fibula.

While Sevilla did not set a time-frame on his recovery, it is likely that he will be out for a minimum of six weeks.

Gonalons has made four appearances in all competitons for Sevilla so far, bagging his first goal in a 3-0 Europa League win over Sigma Olomouc.
