Sevilla like Europa League more than all other clubs - Unai Emery

Manager Unai Emery said Sevilla cares more about the Europa League than any other club as his men defeated Fiorentina to clinch their spot in the final for the second straight year.

A year after defeating Benfica on penalties in the final, Sevilla will again look to take home the trophy, and Emery said the fans' support has made all the difference in their European campaigns.

"This is for all Sevilla fans, because we care about this competition more than anyone," Emery said. "I'm tremendously happy with the work of this group. For all they have given to this competition. Now we'll enjoy this moment and think about the final."

Two goals in the opening half-hour put to bed any hopes Fiorentina had of overcoming a 3-0 deficit from the first leg, and Sevilla advanced 5-0 on aggregate on Thursday.

"Fiorentina were a great team to play against," Emery said. "We suffered at first and then we played to our strengths. We were wary, we didn't want to give our opponent chances. Then we scored two goals and that gave us strength."

Sevilla are currently fifth in La Liga with two games to play and three points out of the Champions League playoff round spot. But a second straight Europa League title would do them one better and put them directly into the group stage.

To get there, Sevilla will have to defeat Dnipro, who will make their debut in a European final after ousting Napoli, but Emery said it will be an even matchup.

"Dnipro is there and no one has given it anything," Emery said. "Knocking out Napoli is an important feat. There are no easy matches, it's a 50-50 game. We won't be favorites."
