Stenhousemuir missed the chance to confirm their promotion play-off place after being held to a 2-2 draw at Berwick in League Two.

All four goals came in the opening half and Stenhousemuir had to come from 2-0 down just to claim a point.

Jack Hamilton smashed Rangers ahead with an effort that went in off the crossbar before Paul Willis slotted in a second.

However, Andrew Dallas pulled one back with a header and then set up Colin McMenamin to level before the break.

Montrose's lead at the top of Ladbrokes League Two has been cut to one point following their 1-1 draw with basement side Cowdenbeath.

Gary Fraser opened the scoring for the leaders in the 68th minute before Robbie Buchanan equalised 10 minutes from time.

Peterhead improved their goal difference with a 7-0 win at home to Elgin to keep the pressure on Montrose.

Rory McAllister made it 10 goals in his last nine games with the opener in the 27th minute before Jordon Brown doubled the home side's advantage...

Ladbrokes League Two basement side Cowdenbeath's winless run was extended to 13 games after a 1-1 home draw against Stenhousemuir.

The Blue Brazil had not played since the end of November due to a cold snap but Cameron Muirhead warmed the hands of Stenhousemuir goalkeeper Chris Smith with a stinging drive.

And, the hosts moved ahead halfway through the first half when Robbie Buchanan buried an effort into the bottom corner as Cowdenbeath took a deserved half-time lead.

The home side looked on course...

Cowdenbeath's Jordan Garden concedes crazy penalty vs. Berwick

Berwick Rangers registered a narrow 1-0 win over Cowdenbeath in the Scottish League Two at the weekend, with a late penalty proving the difference between the two sides.

Just when it looked like the tie was heading for a goalless draw, Cowdenbeath forward Jordan Garden went rogue in the 81st minute and conceded a spot-kick in truly ludicrous fashion.

Amid a frenzied goalmouth scramble, Garden attempted to block a shot by lunging head-first into a tackle, only to chop Michael McKenna down in the area.

Bottom-club Cowdenbeath boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation from Ladbrokes League Two with a 2-0 win against Clyde.

Clyde striker Peter MacDonald had his 11th-minute penalty saved by Jamie Sneddon before Kyle Miller gave the visitors the lead two minutes before the break.

And six minutes into the second half David Syme headed in his first goal for the club.

Cowdenbeath's second win in four games moved them to within four points of their ninth-placed opponents, who slipped below Edinburgh City...
