Ayr continued their unbeaten start to the season after being held 1-1 by Stenhousemuir at Ochilview Park.

The away side got off to the perfect start after just 12 minutes, when a mix-up in the Stenhousemuir defence gifted Ryan Donnelly the chance to grab his second goal of the season.

But Ayr were pegged back midway through the first half, with striker Martin Grehan grabbing the equaliser for the Warriors with a low shot following some smart build-up play.

Ayr pushed for the winner in the second half, but were unable to break down a resolute Stenhousemuir defence and were forced to settle for the point which keeps them at the top of Scottish League One.
