Forfar survived a late comeback from Morton to record a 3-2 home win.

Forward Gavin Swankie swept the hosts in front after good work from Omar Kader and Stephen Husband out wide.

Morton drew level midway through the first half after some poor defending from Forfar allowed Declan McManus to fire home.

Midfielder Danny Denholm made it 2-1 to the Loons when he slotted in Swankie's pull-back inside the area.

Forfar looked to have the game wrapped up after 71 minutes when Swankie latched on to a ball over the top and finished expertly.

However, Morton set up a nervy last few minutes when substitute Reece Hands pulled one back from close range, but the hosts held on.
