Recent signing Scott McManus is likely to miss out for Clyde when they host Ayr.
The striker is still looking to get up to full fitness after his move this week from junior side Vale of Clyde.
New Bully Wee boss, former Rangers and Scotland midfielder Barry Ferguson, is unlikely to name himself in the squad after featuring only briefly in pre-season.
Ferguson is hoping that team spirit will help Clyde see off their higher league opponents, he said: "The players have been terrific since I came in and the togetherness they have shown will help us on the pitch. Ayr will be a tough test but one I am looking forward to."
Ayr will include former Carlisle defender Peter Murphy in their ranks at Broadwood if international clearance comes through ahead of kick-off, although the Honest Men will field Ryan Donnelly after the striker reached an agreement to join the club.
However, Martyn Campbell is suspended and Kevin McKinlay misses out through injuries sustained in a recent car crash.
Ayr player/manager Mark Roberts said: "It has taken a bit of time but we are finally building a squad with some experience in it. Clyde will be out to impress their new manager but if our players play to their potential then we will win."
