Queen's Park head coach Gus McPherson will have 12 new signings to choose from against Berwick in the first round of the Petrofac Training Challenge Cup if Ross Gallagher can overcome an ankle problem.
But Shaun Rooney, who was a Spider last season, misses out with a knee injury.
McPherson said: "I have been working on re-shaping our squad for a number of months now and now we want to get going.
"Ironically our last home game of the previous season was against Berwick and it was a game of two halves.
"We did very well in the first half and then lost our way and they ran out 3-1 winners. We will need a 90-minute game this time."
Berwick will be without the suspended Lee Currie, Ross Gray and Ben Miller.
Gray has a knee injury and Miller is away on holiday, but new signings Scott Maxwell, David Gold and Paul Willis are all included.
Player/manager Colin Cameron is hoping to shake off a pelvic injury to feature.
Cameron said: "Queen's Park have brought in a lot of players who have never played senior football before and they will feel that they have a point to prove.
"They will look to start doing that against us, so we have to play well to get through."
