East Stirling have added three new signings to their pool ahead of the visit of Falkirk.

Ex-Bairn Connor Greene, former Hibs youngster Jay Doyle and Martyn Shields, who was most recently playing amateur football, have all come through the door.

Head coach Craig Tully takes charge of the Shire for the first time since he was appointed back in May.

Tully said: "This is a terrific game to have at the start of the season as we are playing a very good side in a cup tie, with a derby atmosphere, in front of what should be a decent crowd."

Falkirk will be without midfielder Craig Sibbald, who has missed the majority of pre-season due to a medial ligament injury.

Kieran Duffie is expected to shake off a knock to play in what will be head coach Peter Houston's first game in charge of the Bairns.

Technical director Alex Smith said: "It is always an exciting time in football when the real action starts and that is what is happening now. The Shire will be out to cause an upset so we have to be prepared.

"If we play like we can we will go through but we have to be professional in the way we go about our business."
