Duo suspended for Hibs

Hibernian are without suspended duo Lewis Stevenson and Liam Craig for the League Cup second-round clash with Dumbarton.

Midfielder Scott Robertson returns from a ban for the Easter Road clash but defender Paul Hanlon is set to miss out again with a knee problem.

However, winger Daniel Handling has given Hibs a pre-match boost by signing a new four-year contract.

Head coach Alan Stubbs said: "We're really pleased that Danny has agreed a new deal - he is an important member of the squad."

Dumbarton's summer signing Lee Mair looks set to miss out after sustaining a knock as the Sons went down 4-0 to Rangers at the weekend.

Also missing for the Sons, who are managed by former Easter Road favourite Ian Murray, is goalkeeper Jamie Ewings who has an ankle injury.

Murray's men have yet to pick up a point in the league, but he is determined that they go out and attack Hibs.

Murray said: "We have players that can hurt teams and we need to start doing that. Hopefully we can show that side of our game at Hibs as well as defend better."
