Calum Elliot's brace helped Raith get the better of League One outfit Forfar although they needed extra-time to prevail 4-2 in their Scottish League Cup tie.
The hosts started sluggishly and Forfar made them pay when Gavin Swankie found Danny Denholm to fire his side ahead after 25 minutes.
But either side of the break, Rovers turned the tie around. Ryan Conroy drove in the equaliser on the half-hour from Christian Nade's pass and with 25 minutes remaining the Frenchman was fouled by Darren Dods and Elliot converted the ensuing penalty.
Denholm made it all square again, connecting with a James Dale cross to force extra-time with 15 minutes remaining.
Elliot then angled Raith's third into the top left corner from Martin Scott's precise ball in the 103rd minute before a late Derek Young own goal massaged the scoreline.
