A Rory McAllister double saw Ladbrokes League One side Peterhead shock Premiership Dundee - and put themselves in contention to win Group A in the Betfred Cup.

Greg Stewart hit a late goal to give Dundee hope but hosts Peterhead held on to win 2-1.

The visitors had the better of the first half, but were dealt a blow after 27 minutes when Mark O'Hara was forced off with an injury sustained in a clash with Peterhead's American midfielder Kevin Dzierzawski.

Paul McGowan replaced O'Hara in the midfield...

Souleymane Coulibaly inspired a thrilling comeback as Kilmarnock avoided a Betfred Cup shock against League 2 outfit Berwick Rangers.

Goals from Jonny Fairbairn and on-loan Hibs youngster Sean Mackie had Lee Clark's charges staring down the barrel of a chastening defeat at Shielfield Park.

However, the 21-year-old hit back with two superb instinctive finishes in the space of five minutes to restore parity and the turnaround was complete after 85 minutes when Rory McKenzie headed home the winner to...

A hat-trick from Iain Vigurs helped Inverness thump Dunfermline 5-1 and move joint-top of Betfred Cup Group C.

Vigurs gave the visitors the lead after a quarter-hour and even though Andy Geggan pegged them back, Vigurs' second put them ahead at the break.

Billy King extended Caley Thistle's lead in the second half and Vigurs completed his hat-trick with a well-placed header.

Carl Tremarco's late fifth put the icing on the cake for a potent Caley Jags side.

Caley Thistle led with 16 minutes on the clock....

Motherwell's Marvin Johnson, Scott McDonald and Chris Cadden all struck in the 3-0 win over East Stirling which keeps their side on course for the Betfred Cup last 16.

However, Mark McGhee's team had to wait until the 53rd minute for Johnson's breakthrough after failing to make the most of their early openings.

McDonald netted the second on 77 minutes before Cadden's late third wrapped up the Ladbrokes Premiership outfit's second Group F win. Another victory at Stranraer on Saturday should see them...

Holders Ross County are out of the Scottish League Cup after falling to defeat at Alloa at a rain-sodden Indodrill stadium.

The home made the better of the conditions and led 2-0 inside 11 minutes with strikes from Jordan Kirkpatrick and Jon Robertson.

But the holders responded emphatically and took only 10 minutes to draw level; Alex Schalk powering in County's second after Brian Graham had reduced the arrears.

The visitors looked the more likely to find a winner but Calum Waters' strike 18 minutes...
