Hearts broke the record for the most points in a Scottish Championship season as Brad McKay's late penalty saw off Cowdenbeath 2-1.

The visitors hit the crossbar in the opening minute when a long punt downfield picked out Callum Paterson but his volley crashed off the woodwork.

Cowdenbeath, who lost 10-0 to Hearts earlier this season, took a shock lead in the 14th minute when Colin Marshall found the bottom corner from the edge of the area.

Hearts were level in the 32nd minute when Jamie Walker's cross...

Livingston kept their Scottish Championship survival hopes alive with a 4-0 victory at Raith to climb off the foot of the table.

The visitors smashed in four goals while relegation rivals Alloa were conceding the same number at Hibernian to ensure Livi live to fight another day.

Livingston took the lead in the 19th minute when the Raith defence failed to clear a corner and defender Callum Fordyce's looping header just crossed the line for his second league goal of the season.

Fordyce was again involved...

Hibernian climbed to second after a convincing 4-1 win against Alloa.

Hibs dominated from the first whistle and Jordon Forster saw a header cleared off the line from Scott Allan's cross.

They took the lead in the 31st minute when Martin Boyle collected a pass from Allan and raced into the box before finishing low across goalkeeper John Gibson.

It was 2-0 before the break when what looked to be a cross from Liam Craig took a huge deflection off a defender and nestled in the top corner.

Craig hit a post...

Queen of the South secured their play-off place with a 2-1 victory at home to Dumbarton.

Second-half goals by Kevin Holt and Stephen McKenna put the promotion hopefuls in control and Donald McCallum's strike proved only a consolation for Dumbarton.

Queen of the South threatened in the 14th minute when Danny Rogers produced a superb save to keep out a Derek Lyle header but it was a first half of very few chances.

The deadlock was broken in the 55th minute when a cross from the right was flicked on and...

Nicky Law salvaged a point for Rangers with his last-gasp equaliser but still saw his side drop to third place after their 2-2 Scottish Championship draw with Falkirk at Ibrox.

John Baird put Peter Houston's William Hill Scottish Cup finalists ahead after 57 minutes and Tom Taiwo doubled their lead four minutes later courtesy of a gaffe from Lee McCulloch which led to boos for the home captain.

But the Bairns were denied their first win over Gers in Glasgow since August 1994 as Haris Vuckic and then...
