Scottish midfielder Willo Flood certainly hasn't found work hard to come by after being released by Dundee United in June.

Indeed, the 33-year-old has now managed to sign for not one, but two clubs since being let go by the Tannadice side on June 18.

Initially, Flood signed for Dunfermline but, just nine days on from his arrival, the Scottish Championship club have already been forced to terminate the experienced midfielder's contract.

In a statement on their official website, Dunfermline confirmed...

Dumbarton are just 90 minutes away from retaining their place in the second tier after a 1-0 win at Alloa in the Championship play-off final first leg.

It took the Pars just six minutes to go ahead when Stuart Carswell rifled home from 25 yards after picking up a pass from Danny Handling.

The Wasps come close to hauling themselves level moments later but Jordan Kirkpatrick saw his effort come back off a post.

Kevin Nisbet went close for Dumbarton after the break, while at the other end only a last-gasp...

Alloa booked their place in the Scottish Championship play-off final as they completed their dismantling of Raith's promotion ambitions with a 2-1 second-leg victory.

After earning a goalless draw that denied Raith the title and automatic promotion in the final league game, the Wasps won 2-0 in the first leg of their semi-final to inflict more misery on Rovers.

Alloa, who finished 15 points behind Raith in the League One table, took full control of the tie thanks to Jordan Kirkpatrick's brilliant...

Craig Barr scored a stoppage-time winner to boost Dumbarton's chances of retaining their Ladbrokes Championship place in a 2-1 play-off semi-final first-leg victory at Arbroath.

The Sons has lost their last five league games to finish well adrift in ninth place, but Calum Gallagher gave them the lead after 55 minutes when he headed in Tom Walsh's ball back across the box.

Bobby Linn equalised for Arbroath nine minutes later, firing home from Ricky Little's path, and it looked like the sides would return...
