Hearts stretched their lead at the top of the Scottish Championship to 16 points with a 4-1 win at Alloa.

Miguel Pallardo opened the scoring after just five minutes with a screamer from 25 yards.

Stephen Simmons hit a post for Alloa before Hearts grabbed their second through James Keatings, who turned smartly before firing home in the 12th minute.

Keatings was denied by the woodwork before the interval when his free-kick came back off the crossbar, and Greig Spence pulled one back for Alloa with a header...

Former Hearts striker Christian Nade snatched an injury-time equaliser for Raith as they drew 1-1 at Hibernian.

Jason Cummings, the Scottish Championship's top scorer, had the first shot on goal from 25 yards but his effort was well held by Rovers goalkeeper David McGurn.

Hibs debutant Keith Watson saw a shot blocked inside the six-yard box, Scott Robertson fired wide and Cummings sent a shot against a post as the home side piled forward.

The Hibees' dominance was rewarded early in the second half when...

Dumbarton ended a run of four straight defeats after earning a point in a six-goal thriller at Falkirk.

The worst defence in the Scottish Championship let in another three goals to make it 18 conceded in five matches in January but they did enough at the other end to at least stop the rot.

Dumbarton took the lead in the 19th minute when the home side failed to deal with Mitchel Megginson's cross and Scott Taggart pounced from close range.

They were in front for just two minutes before Craig Sibbald's...

Derek Lyle scored a hat-trick as Queen of the South cruised to a 5-0 win at Scottish Championship strugglers Cowdenbeath.

Lyle opened the scoring for Queens on the stroke of half-time, heading home Ian McShane's corner for his 12th goal of the season.

He then teed-up strike partner Gavin Reilly, who found the bottom corner for his 11th goal this term and first in six in the 56th minute.

Two minutes later Lyle claimed his second of the game with a fine finish into the top corner before McShane added...

Rangers Supporter Trust claiming Ibrox security success over Ashley

The Rangers Supporters Trust believe their actions 'had a material impact in stopping the board from granting security over Ibrox.'

The Rangers Supporters Trust has claimed that its legal action helped prevent the club's board granting security over Ibrox to Mike Ashley's Sports Direct company.

Rangers announced on Tuesday they had accepted a 10 million-pound loan offer from Sports Direct in return for a number of conditions including security over Murray Park training ground and the Albion car park and Edmiston House building adjacent to Ibrox. But a previous application to use the stadium as security was not followed through.

The...
