Three Bears complain to Rangers board over Mike Ashley loan

Newcastle fans are eagerly anticipating to see who owner Mike Ashley appoints as new manager.
Mike Ashley's loan to Rangers has drawn the ire of rival financing group Three Bears.

The Three Bears have hit out at the Rangers board for accepting Mike Ashley's 10 million-pound loan -- insisting they had made a better offer.

Wealthy supporters Douglas Park, George Letham and George Taylor offered the desperate directors a 6.5 million-pound loan. But Ashley's offer of two 5 million-pound tranches was accepted by the cash-strapped club on Tuesday morning.

Chairman David Somers told Sky Sports News that the Sports Direct chief's loan was a "great deal" for Rangers -- but the Three...

Rangers agree £10 million loan from Mike Ashley's Sports Direct

There had been concerns that Ranger's iconic Ibrox stadium what be used to secure a loan or even be remortgaged.

Rangers have agreed a 10 million-pound emergency loan deal with Mike Ashley's Sports Direct firm, the club have announced to the Stock Exchange.

Without the injection of fresh funding, the cash-strapped Ibrox outfit would not have been able to cover pay checks due to be delivered on Thursday.

The loan will be secured against Murray Park, Edmiston House, Albion Car Park, and the Club's registered trademarks -- but not Ibrox.

The move spells the end of attempts by the "Three Bears" -- wealthy fans...

Gennaro Gattuso interested in becoming Rangers manager

Gennaro Gattuso faces allegations of match-fixing.
Gennaro Gattuso does not have much experience, but is keen to help.

Italian World Cup winner Gennaro Gattuso has revealed that he would be keen to return to Rangers as manager.

Gattuso, 37, cut his managerial teeth with Sion and Palermo before resigning from Greek club OFI Crete over financial issues at the end of 2014. However, the former midfielder -- who was 19 when he was signed for Rangers before embarking on a glittering career with Milan -- insisted he wants to return to Scotland.

Rangers, though, are in a troubling situation as former...

Livingston halted a five-game winless run as Daniel Mullen and Jordan White each fired a double in a 5-1 win that condemned Dumbarton to a fourth straight league defeat.

Livingston made a dream start when White opened the scoring in the fifth minute, heading home midfielder Nejc Praprotnik's pinpoint cross for his 10th goal of the season.

Dumbarton's Garry Fleming and midfielder Scott Linton were both wayward, while Scott Agnew and David van Zanten also squandered chances for the home side before the...

Bottom club Alloa clinched only their second point in seven matches by halting Raith's three-game winning run in a goalless draw.

Alloa midfielder Mark Docherty and Raith counterpart Ross Callachan traded early shots in the first half, but there were no further efforts on goal until visiting midfielder Grant Anderson pulled a shot wide of target in the 29th minute.

Home pair Stephen Simmons and Kevin Cawley went close as a hard-fought first period drew to a close before Raith striker Calum Eliot forced...
