Neymar 'off to Europe after World Cup'

The father and agent of Santos star Neymar has said the Brazil international will be heading for Europe after the World Cup.

He said Neymar, 21, who has been linked with a £50 million move to Barcelona or Real Madrid, would “close a chapter in his life” after the 2014 tournament, being played in Brazil, and “will then leave for Europe”.

Barcelona are favourites to sign Neymar, and Barca transfer negotiator Andre Cury has said the Catalans are “ready to talk” as soon as Santos announce an intention to sell.

“Neymar is Barcelona’s top choice, and I’m currently attending all Santos’s games,” Cury said.
