Rubin Kazan sack manager Rinat Bilyaletdinov after poor start

MOSCOW -- Russian Premier League club Rubin Kazan say coach Rinat Bilyaletdinov will be sacked after a poor start to the season.

Two-time champion Rubin have lost six of their first seven league games so far, although they have managed to qualify for the Europa League group stage.

The poor form has already cost the job of the club president, who resigned on Tuesday after criticism from the regional government, which owns the club.

The new president, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, tells Russian media a search is underway to replace Bilyaletdinov.
