Robbie Keane was handed the chance to lead out the Republic of Ireland for the final time as he won his 146th and last cap against Oman.

The 36-year-old striker, who announced last week that he would retire from international football after the game, was named in the starting lineup along with new Newcastle defender Ciaran Clark and Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter, winning his third senior cap.
But there was no place in the XI for midfielder Jeff Hendrick, who was back in England on Wednesday to complete a club record move to Burnley from Derby.
