Real Sociedad chief to refs in Real Madrid loss: 'You've come to rob us'

Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay Bedialauneta called his side's 3-1 loss to Real Madrid "a disgrace," and accused the match referees of trying to rob his team of a result during half-time of Wednesday's game.

In his game notes, referee Jose Luis Gonzalez Gonzalez described that the Sociedad chief met Gonzalez and his colleagues in their dressing room and threatened to "report you to the police" for their questionable decisions during the first half.

Earlier in the match, Sociedad's Brazilian forward Jonathas de Jesus had a strong penalty appeal turned down after Pepe trod on his foot in the area.

Later in the half, Karim Benzema went down after the slightest of challenges by defender Yuri, but La Real were let off the hook when Ronaldo could not even hit the target from 12 yards, blasting over and missing from the spot for the first time this season.

But he was afforded another chance to score three minutes before the break after Gareth Bale's cross bounced off the leg of Yuri and then struck the defender's arm, with Gonzalez Gonzalez harshly pointing to the spot, much to Bedialauneta's dismay.

As reported in Marca, Gonzalez's notes reflected the Sociedad' chief's actions at the interval: "Real Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay Bedialauneta, who was waiting for us at our dressing room door when he headed in at the break, said: 'This is a disgrace, you've come here to rob us. I'm going to report you to the police.'"
