Cristiano Ronaldo back at Real Madrid training after international break

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to training with Real Madrid on Thursday as the club held their first session following the international break.

Ronaldo scored two added-time goals in Portugal's 2-1 victory over Egypt on March 23 and then played 68 minutes in the 3-0 defeat to Netherlands on Monday.

He completed the training session as coach Zinedine Zidane welcomed back all of his players from international duty.

Ronaldo has scored nine of Madrid's last 13 goals and is the second leading scorer in La Liga with 22 goals -- three fewer than Barcelona's Lionel Messi.

Isco, who scored a hat trick in Spain's 6-1 win over Argentina at the Wanda Metropolitano on Tuesday, did specific exercises indoors.

Mateo Kovacic was the last international player to arrive at Madrid's training ground in Valdebebas and trained separately from the squad.

The midfielder started and played the full game for Croatia in their 1-0 victory over Mexico in Dallas on Tuesday.

Madrid play at relegation-threatened Las Palmas on Saturday in La Liga before starting April with a trip to Turin to face Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League quarterfinal on Tuesday.

The return leg will be played at the Bernabeu one week later.

Third-placed Madrid are 15 points adrift of league leaders Barcelona with nine games remaining.
