Isco said it was important for Real Madrid to "get back the winning feeling" at the Bernabeu after their first home La Liga win of the season on Sunday.
The playmaker told Movistar Plus he hoped Madrid would now embark on a strong home season after beating Espanyol 2-0 following two draws and a defeat in their previous three Bernabeu league games.
He said: "Today was a very important game to get back the winning feeling at home, where we were finding it tough.
"We are happy to get the three points. It was time we won a game here, and we hope this is the start of a good run now."

Isco, who scored both goals, has 12 strikes in all competitions this year and was asked whether his toe-poke for the opener was the first time he had finished in such a way.
"I believe I scored a similar one with the [Spain] under-21s in the 2013 European Championship," he said. "I hit an earlier chance better and missed... this happens in football.
"I am happy for the goals, as lately I was not finishing well in front of goal, and with the three points above all."
Madrid had 22 shots against Espanyol but only eight on target, and Isco said they were "finding it tough to score goals."
But he added: "The important thing is that we are making chances. It is something we can improve."
Cristiano Ronaldo has had 22 La Liga shots this season, with three on target and no goals, but Isco said: "It is only a matter of time before he clicks in La Liga."
Sunday's game also saw a senior Madrid debut for 18-year-old full-back Achraf Hakimi, who told BeinSPORTS: "I'm delighted to have made my debut for the best club in the world -- it's a day I'll never forget.
"My teammates help me out and give me advice every day and everything is easier when they're alongside you.
"I felt comfortable and I'll keep growing as a player, one step at a time."
