Cristiano Ronaldo says he is confident that Real Madrid will win Saturday's Champions League final against Juventus.
Madrid already claimed the title in La Liga, and they are coming up against the equally impressive Juventus, who secured their sixth straight Scudetto in Serie A this month.
But Ronaldo -- named the world's most famous athlete in an ESPN study released on Tuesday -- hasn't shied away from making a prediction for the clash in Cardiff, Wales, telling Real Madrid TV that its up to Los Blancos to prove they are the superior club.
"On the day of the game there is going to be a lot of nerves and I prefer not to think much about the final," Ronaldo said. "Too much humility isn't good, we have to prove our character and who is the best.
"They are an excellent team but so are we. I have the feeling that we are going to play a great game and we are going to win."
Ronaldo has scored 40 goals in all competitions in 45 games this season, including hat tricks in each of the last two Champions League knockout rounds against Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid.
His teammate Gareth Bale said earlier on Tuesday that he was healthy enough to play, even if he did not feel "100 percent" fit, but Ronaldo said he's fully ready to go against Juventus.
"I feel very good, very good, a bit cold, but it's better than having an injury," Ronaldo said. "Better on the physical level than in the last few seasons, also because I played less, although I am the one who played the most matches in the team. I feel better than I have in the last few years and I hope to help the team with goals on Saturday.
Despite his goal target, Ronaldo said he's primarily focused on helping Real Madrid became the first club to successfully defend the Champions League trophy with a second straight title.
"The final is won by scoring goals. We were very reassured to win the league and now we have a unique opportunity. We are in an extraordinary moment," he said.
"We can get a double, defend the title and enter the history of the Champions League. It's a big motivation and there's only one step left."
